Taqueria El Cazador

Located at lovely SE 102nd and Foster, across from an electrical substation and next to a junk yard, this humble little taqueria is a breath of burritowy fresh air. I find myself wandering further and further to find new burritos these days. Life is just so hard for an old washed up burrito junkie.

Carnitas

Price: $4.99

Ingredients: Pork, rice, beans, onion, cilantro, cheese

Sides: Red and Green Salsa

Size: Medium

Honestly, it's been a while since I actually ate this burrito, and it wasn't incredibly memorable. I'm sorry. Is this the worst post so far? Probably. The pictures are crappy unedited cell phone shots and I can't think of any taste bud teasing adjectives. Don't give up on the me though, people! I'll try harder next time. I just need to find a really good burrito that I haven't tried yet! What's your favorite burrito, guys? Maybe I'm just kind of lonely and talking to myself and hoping internet people will comment about their favorite burritos instead of being mean... I need some inspiration!

  1. I stand by my previous recommendation-- try the carnitas burrito at La Catrina truck on 82nd. Big, greasy, with amazing carnitas! Brother Express truck in Cartlandia also on 82nd has great carnitas burritos.

  2. This is a very sad post. :(
Hang in there, I love your blog! I still think that the chile relleno burrito at Tienda Santa Cruz in St. Johns is the best I've had. Maya Taqueria downtown is pretty good, too. But not the best, mostly because their salsas aren't stellar. There are lots of places I haven't tried yet though. Have you tried all the food carts in downtown? There are bunches of burritos to try down there.

    1. I do need to make the trek up to Tienda Santa Cruz again! I'm sure there are more to be explored downtown as well, but are they open on weekends...?

    2. I just did a quick poll of the burrito carts down at the SW 10th and Alder cart pod (I work by there): three of the four are open on Saturdays. Also, there's another Mexican cart on 12th and Yamhill (don't know about hours), and Maya Taqueria is on 10th and Morrison.

  3. Have you tried the carnitas burrito from the taco truck in the Community Appliance parking lot on Stark?
